Design

Graphic design is a big part of the sign industry.  The divide between engravers, signwriters, screen printers and printing companies has become almost indistinguishable since the computer age descended upon us.  When printing inks were developed to be able to last outdoors and the cost of LED’s plummeted, a whole new world opened up for sign manufacturers.  It’s now common for companies to commission a graphic designer to produce a Corporate Design Manual which specifies how their corporate logo, colours and font styles are to be used.  It’s at this point we can use these specifications and electronic files to produce name badges, door signs, posters, directional signs (wall, ceiling, projecting), directory boards, reception signs and large external building signs.  We import the files produced by the graphic designers into our sign software then scale them to suit what it is we are making adding text or design features as required.  Our layouts are then sent to the client for approval and from these approved layouts we can send the jobs to all our machines (eg routers, laser engravers & cutters, digital printers etc) to commence the manufacturing process.
