Manufacture & Install
Using the designs produced in our sign software we can operate an extraordinary range of machinery. At the time Clayton took over running WSS from Clarrie, computer controlled machinery was in it’s infancy. In the following 30 years the development of both software and machinery has been phenomenal. I’m sure if Charles or Clarrie were able to pop into WSS for a day to see what it’s like now they would find it hard to comprehend. They were predominantly engravers using pantograph machines and they were highly skilled operators of these machines (see the photo of the coin engraved in our History section) but if they saw the routers, lasers, digital printers and badge making machines operating today they’d find it hard to believe what they were seeing. We use the equipment available now to produce greater volumes of labels, plaques, signs, stencils etc. but we like to think we take the same pride in our products as was the case in Charles’ and Clarrie’s eras.
Along with the software and machinery, new materials have also assisted the sign manufacturing process. Aluminium Composite Material, Laminated Plastics (in many colour combinations), LED’s, LED Screens, Exterior grade Printing Inks, a multitude of Aluminium Extrusions specifically designed for sign systems and a vast range of Sign Fixing Components have all added to the sign manufacturer's ability to supply high quality products.
At WSS we believe we have an ideal mix of experience and innovation to ensure our customers get the best of both worlds. Our aim is to make every customer happy with our service and we won’t give up trying to achieve this. As the saying goes “You can’t fail if you never give up”.
